H.E.L.P.

We believe all youth deserve to be informed and feel confident to make thoughtful decisions that support a healthy lifestyle

Every year we work with more than 15 community experts (Law Enforcement, EMT First Response, Film Editors and more) to educate, empower and engage youth in substance abuse prevention education through student made PSA’s. In collaboration with Mt. Abraham high school and Hannford Career Center H.E.L.P. (Health Education Learning Program) connects with an average of 50 students a year (grades 9-12). Community partners and students work together in education, discussion, and hands on workshops to learn about the 7 drug categories, risk and protective factors and how to establish and maintain healthy behaviors.

If you are interested in incorporating H.E.L.P. into your school, class or program, let us know! Jesse, our Prevention Coordinator, would be happy to help you (jesse@unitedwayaddisoncounty.org or 802-388-7189).
