Who is helping?

In Addison County, the Addison County Housing Coalition (ACHC) serves as the singular entity organizing and convening agencies committed to ending homelessness or assisting people currently experiencing housing instability (see the complete list of ACHC partner agencies on the right side of this page).

Through inter-agency coordination and collaboration, ACHC provides unhoused people with adequate services and helps them obtain affordable housing. ACHC also serves in an advisory capacity to the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH), also known as the Vermont Balance-of-State Continuum of Care (BoS CoC), and to various statewide committees.

ACHC serves as the entity to create Addison County’s plan to organize and deliver housing and services to meet the specific needs of unhoused people as they move to stable housing and maximum self-sufficiency. Its scope includes action steps to end homelessness and prevent a return to homelessness. ACHC members utilize the Coordinated Entry shared information system to track and prioritize housing for households and individuals in need.
